Intensive harvests from AsperCut in Germany

An exploitation focused on performance

With 25 hectares of green asparagus and 50 hectares of white asparagus, the farm of Stefan Blümel faces, like many producers, increasing challenges: availability of labor, cost control, maintenance of harvest quality and securing yields.
It is precisely for all these reasons that he wanted to test the AsperCut for his crops on his farm.

A field-tested solution

The AsperCut once again demonstrated its ability to adapt to a changing environment with highly variable climatic conditions. After an early stay marked by high temperatures and sustained growth of the asparagus, wind and rain quickly settled in. Despite these climatic hazards, the machine continued its work by maintaining a regular and qualitative harvest.

An automatic harvest from the field to cropping

Stefan Blümel was able to understand the detection, cutting and crating performance of asparagus for the harvest of green asparagus and the harvest of white asparagus. The measured rates confirm the competitiveness of AsperCut and its selling price.

This location allowed Stefan Blümel to become familiar with the AsperCut and to plan its integration into the organization of its operations.

Much more than a trial: a trustworthy partnership

This time spent with Stefan Blümel has made it possible to build a strong relationship based on listening, closeness and trust. This collaboration illustrates our approach: working closely with producers to provide effective solutions adapted to the realities of their operations.

At the end of this experience, Stefan Blümel confirmed his interest in AsperCut and has already expressed his willingness to meet again with us in 2027. A new step that confirms the trust placed in our teams and our vision of tomorrow’s agriculture.

While waiting for this next meeting, the SYLEKTIS teams are continuing their season and will go to the Marne in mid-June for the last asparagus harvests of the year.

The AsperCut in action in the Médoc

A machine designed for the field

During our stay in the Médoc, AsperCut worked on plots of white and green asparagus. This time spent in the asparagus orchards made it possible to test once again under operational conditions the two harvesting systems of the AsperCut.

The green asparagus robot confirmed its harvesting potential during this first field trip. It allows you to harvest up to 20 asparagus per minute with crating ensured by a conveyor.

Thanks to its new engines, the white asparagus robot has confirmed its ability to harvest up to 12 asparagus per minute.

The AsperCut is available for purchase and ready to be integrated into farms.

A credible alternative to manual harvesting

After 5 years of field tests, and all over France, the AsperCut offers a competitive technical and economic alternative.

For the white asparagus robot, two configurations are possible:
* Equipped with a harvesting head, the white asparagus robot can harvest up to 4 hectares.
* Equipped with two harvesting heads, the white asparagus robot can harvest up to 8 hectares.

The green asparagus robot can harvest up to 6 hectares.

Thanks to its new capabilities, the AsperCut is a competitive tool for achieving harvests at a cost of €1/kg.

Demonstrations to project oneself concretely

For our last day in the Médoc, a demonstration dedicated to the harvest of white asparagus brought together several producers. This moment of discussion made it possible to present the machine in real operating conditions, answer questions and support farmers in their thinking. These meetings are essential to allow everyone to concretely assess the benefits of the solution on their operations.

Next step: new international demonstrations

Suite au salon IAD d’octobre 2025, l’AsperCut a été loué pour le mois de mai en Allemagne. The opportunity for Sylektis to meet new producers and present its two harvesting solutions.

The season will end with a presentation at Benjamin Marchal in the Marne in June.

The AsperCut presented at IAD 2025

Two days of presentations and demonstrations of the white asparagus harvesting robot and the green asparagus harvesting robot allowed us to get in touch with many producers and offer the AsperCut for rental for the 2026 season.

The AsperCut

In the spring of 2023, the French start-up SYLEKTIS tested and presented to producers its new robot for the selective harvesting of white asparagus, the AsperCut.

It was an opportunity to present the AsperCut to farmers, to gather their impressions and to discuss the improvements to be made for the future. A big thank you to all the producers, to our hosts, Copadax, Maisadour, the Pallin family, Fleuron D’Anjou, Benjamin Marchal, Planète Légume, Asperges d’Alsace, Christian Befve&Co and all those who supported us.

This second version of the prototype allowed SYLEKTIS to validate the technical feasibility of its concept.

The AsperCut advances itself, detects, harvests and crate white asparagus autonomously. Thanks to tests and exchanges with producers, we have identified the improvements to be made for the 2024 version.

« We are going to move from the research phase to the development phase, says Stéphane Abraham, Managing Director of SYLEKTIS. Now that we have been able to harvest asparagus with this prototype, we are going to industrialize the machine to increase its efficiency and production rates for 2024».

SYLEKTIS’ ambition is to supply a pre-series of the AsperCut for the 2024 season in order to start marketing the first machines in the second half of 2024.

The objective is to provide a robust robot, with a reduced size and at the lowest possible price to allow it to be exploited on the maximum number of plots. SYLEKTIS’ strategy is simple: provide a robot capable of performing up to 700 harvesting cycles per hour.

The AsperCut is 4 meters long by 2.5 meters wide.

It is 100% electric and aims for an autonomy of 8 hours.

Its patented design allows it to have a simple and effective tool, to manage the row cover, to be easily maneuverable thanks to its radio control and to be towed by a tractor for long trips.

The principle of operation lies in two modes: manual mode and automatic mode.

The manual mode allows the operator to bring the AsperCut to the asparagus row and to pass the asparagus row cover over the machine.

The automatic mode then selected by the operator will start the autonomous harvesting of the AsperCut on the row. Once at the end of the row, the AsperCut stops automatically to allow the operator to recover the crates  full of asparagus and to position the machine in manual mode on another row.

« Launched in 2021, we proved that we could produce a robot for the selective harvesting of white asparagus in less than 2 years, according to Wilfried Garrigue, president of SYLEKTIS. Our roadmap is aggressive but achievable to provide the robot expected by farmers from 2024. We have many ideas for this machine which is a robust tool carrier straddle coupled to a harvesting block developed for white asparagus. Its uses will develop according to the needs shared with farmers. »

SYLEKTIS is now focused on the development of its AsperCut for the 2024 season.

In order to take into consideration the different types of rows and your characteristics, SYLEKTIS needs your information.

Farmers, producers, do not hesitate to send the dimensions of your rows to the following email address (row height in relation to the tread, row basis width, row summit  width, min and max lengths of your rows, area, maximum quantity of asparagus to harvest per day, quantity of asparagus harvested per season, single cover use, double cover use):
